Save Your Ass

"I stumbled upon Save Your Ass Long-Ear Rescue on the internet quite by accident and am glad I had the priviledge to meet Ann and her long ears! I found talking to Ann very easy and soon made an appointment to visit her farm. My husband and I made the long trek to her farm from Caribou, Maine, approx. 9 hours of driving, it was worth it. I met all of Ann's long ears, but most importantly, got to meet Ida May who would soon become a member of my family.

After bringing her home she quickly showed my "heavy horses" what a donkey is all about! I own Shires and thought she may be intimidated by them, no way! She introduced herself and after about 10 minutes told them in no uncertain terms that someday she would be the matron of the herd. She has proven to be the leader and watchful eye of the herd, ever vigilant to what's going on in and around the pasture. She's also a love and will forego her food to get scratched on her rump.

She has fit in quite nicely at my farm and has a forever home with my two drafts, Gracie and Bootsie and donkey gelding, Jack. Thank you Ann for making the adoption process painless and a memorable experience. We will take good care of your donkey Ida May! Love, Alina"
